2009 is the year the Dallas Cowboys moved to their new, retractable-roof stadium. The stadium was built by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in the City of Arlington, Texas at an estimated cost of $1.3 billion dollars. The stadium is nicknamed "Jerry World" and it is located across the street from the Ballpark at Arlington, home of MLB's Texas Rangers. The stadium will host many events, including NCAA National Championships and some of the biggest concerts in the country.
The amenities in the new AT&T Stadium are some of the finest in the world. The stadium will sell 80,000 seats for Cowboys home games but can expand that capacity to 100,000 in order to host the Super Bowl. The stadium will have a retractable roof and the largest HDTV screen in the world. There are 15,000 Club Level seats in the stadium, some of which the Cowboys players will walk through on their way to the field. There are 200 luxury suites, which are located in eight different areas throughout the stadium. Also at the stadium is a large Hall of Fame and the biggest pro shop in the NFL to buy Cowboys merchandise.
Sports at the AT&T Stadium
The stadium's first sporting event was a soccer match as part of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July of 2009. The Dallas Cowboys played their first game in August of 2009, against the Tennessee Titans, in which the prominent HDTV screens came into play as one was struck by a kick, touching off criticism of AT&T Stadium's design due to the placement of the screens. The NCAA tournament has been held at AT&T Stadium and it will host the first National Championship of the College Football Playoff in early 2015. The 2010 NBA All-Star game was also played in the stadium. The Cotton Bowl, Southwest Classic and Cowboys Classic are all big-time college football events held at AT&T Stadium.

Parking lots near the stadium fill up quickly if it's a Cowboys game and public transportation in Arlington isn't very good, so we suggest getting a parking pass before you go. NRG Stadium is primarily a football venue in Houston, Texas, opened in 2002. It has a natural grass field as well as Astroturf, which will switch off depending on whether it's an NFL, college or high school game. The field is home to the Houston Texans and hosted the Super Bowl in 2004 and 2017. NRG Stadium is one of the best and biggest modern stadiums in the country and is the venue for some of the biggest events and concerts around the world.
The stadium includes over 7,000 club seats, over 160 luxury suites, and lots of lounges and bars all around the concourses.
